My Rating

A movie is coming out on this book and people just go on and on about this book. So I picked it up and read it. It only took me a day to read but I keep putting it down. Maybe books like this just aren't really my thing and maybe that's why I didn't really enjoy it tons. I'm unsure. It was a wonderful book with a cute love story and funny characters that you love and just want to root for. For me though I just couldn't really get into it that much. I'm unsure of as to why and for a few people out there you might have the same problem but from what I can tell most people love this book.
It wasn't about cancer really at all it had characters who had cancer but it was more about love. Not just Augustus and Hazels love but about how they love other people and other things. How just having people there can help.
The whole story was pretty good. The beginning to the end. How not everything was happy or sad or funny. It was a good balance of all emotions which really brought the story together. For most it would probably be a roll coaster of emotions to read this book.
Sorry it isn't rated higher for all the people who are in love with this book but I just didn't feel it. For me I couldn't get into it.

My Rating
-3.5/5-

When I first started reading this book I hadn't the slightest clue what it was about.
The Giver was a really good book. A dystopian world where there is no pain and no hurt and no fear it's perfect. When Jonas starts getting memories from the Giver he sees how horrible things are.
This book really makes you think and it's hard to imagine a world like this and it's really interesting.
It was a really good book one that is hard to explain but really gets you.
The ending was so great. You don't see many endings like this one. I didn't expect it to happen and so it was shocking.
Some things I didn't like though it wasn't very descriptive. Also the ending it left me wondering so much and I don't really like that. I wish I knew more of what happened after he left. Though it's also cool that you don't know what happened because it lets you think about it yourself.

Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Synopsis:
Samantha is a stranger in her own life. Until the night she disappeared with her best friend, Cassie, everyone said Sam had it all-popularity, wealth, and a dream boyfriend.

Sam has resurfaced, but she has no recollection of who she was or what happened to her that night. As she tries to piece together her life from before, she realizes it's one she no longer wants any part of. The old Sam took "mean girl" to a whole new level, and it's clear she and Cassie were more like best enemies. Sam is pretty sure that losing her memories is like winning the lottery. She's getting a second chance at being a better daughter, sister, and friend, and she's falling hard for Carson Ortiz, a boy who has always looked out for her-even if the old Sam treated him like trash.

But Cassie is still missing, and the facts about what happened to her that night isn't just buried deep inside of Sam's memory-someone else knows, someone who wants to make sure Sam stays quiet. All Sam wants is the truth, and if she can unlock her clouded memories of that fateful night, she can finally move on. But what if not remembering is the only thing keeping Sam alive?

My Rating
-5/5-
Another amazing book from Jennifer L. Armentrout.
This book was perfect. I loved the story it was so amazing and suspenseful and it kept me guessing through the whole story of who is behind it all.
Samantha has lost her memory and now has a second chance to do things over again to be a better person then before. The only problem is Cassie who was supposedly her best friend has gone missing and is feared not alive. Samantha wants so hard to remember what happened that night but she can't. It also doesn't help that she gets lied to about her life before she lost her memory.
The closer Samantha gets to the truth the more danger she gets in.
The characters were amazing. I really loved Samantha and just how as she found out who she used to be how she hated that. How she hated being mean and she didn't understand how she could have acted that way. I loved her push to try and figure out what happened that night she lost her memory.
Her brother Scott I found awesome how he looks out for his sister and kind of even picks on her a little like a brother should.
The mean friends and the mother who wants her daughter to be prefect and cares what people think really added to the story and helps make you understand why Samantha was so mean before.
Carson was absolutely amazing and him and Samantha made a cute pair. The way he treated Sam though everything was so cute and sweet, I loved it.
I loved where the story went, she looses her memory finds out someone is gone she tries to come up with what happened and she can't. She tires living her old life but finds out it's nothing she really wants then changes it to be something that she does want.
Also the ending was a huge shocker. I didn't expect to see what happened coming but it was really interesting and worth the suspense. There was hardly any clues that were easy to put together so that you wouldn't be surprised at the end. It is really a surprise ending and that is just the best.
5 out of 5 for this book.

Frozen (Taken #2) by Erin Bowman

Synopsis:

My Rating
-3.5/5-

This book was good and it was bad, I'm not sure how to describe it. I really liked that book but then I also didn't like it to much.
What I liked the most where Gray's feelings towards people how he felt about his team and the conflict he had going on with almost all of them. I also liked the love triangle. Does he want Bree or does he want Emma? He is so conflicted about if he wants one or if he doesn't want one. It's like what a real love triangle looks like most of the time. It's confusing and not what you think it is. You also don't really know who he is going to pick tell he decides  that for himself.
Grey and Blaine are one relationship I just absolutely love the most. The brotherly love, it's the best. They are fine on there own but putting the two together is amazing in my mind. I love that care that they have for each other. So the relationships Gray has with people makes this book so good.

Another thing that makes this book a good book is the plot. The twists and turns how things don't end up like planned. What they go through. It was all pretty cool.
Something that I didn't like about this book is a few things didn't make sense all the time. Like one or two things were just really confusing and I couldn't figure out how it came to be or worked.
Also something just was lacking in the book, i'm unsure as of what but something was just missing. Which made the book a little less then I thought it would be. Overall though this book does deserve about a 3.5 out of 5.
