Storm (Elemental #1) by Brigid Kemmerer

Synopsis:
Earth, Fire, Air, Water – they have more power than you dream.

Ever since her ex-boyfriend spread those lies about her, Becca Chandler is suddenly getting all the guys—all the ones she doesn't want. Then she saves Chris Merrick from a beating in the school parking lot. Chris is different.Way different: he can control water—just like his brothers can control fire, wind, and earth. They’re powerful. Dangerous. Marked for death.

And now that she knows the truth, so is Becca.

Secrets are hard to keep when your life’s at stake. When Hunter, the mysterious new kid around school, turns up with a talent for being in the wrong place at the right time, Becca thinks she can trust him. But then Hunter goes head-to-head with Chris, and Becca wonders who’s hiding the most dangerous truth of all.

The storm is coming . . .

My Rating
-4/5-
I have been giving a lot of books high ratings lately. Probably just because I have been reading good books lately. And right here is another good book.
Becca saves Chris's life and she finds out that Chris has control over water and his brothers have control over Air, fire, and earth. In most books I feel like you don't learn the big secrets tell almost the end of the book. It was nice to have almost all of them right up front! Also the way that their powers or abilities were describe was really nice. Really simple. It was just a nice change from other books.
Also what happens is pretty good. Since Becca saves Chris's life her life is at risk. When the new kid Hunter comes around she is helped out.
Oh there is a love triangle in the book, a bit. Where Becca likes Hunter and Chris, which is easy to tell but she only seems to go after one.
The characters are pretty awesome and unique. Becca is pretty normal for the most part, though she does get picked on and tries to stay low at the beginning. She is also kind and helpful though I think. Chris and his brothers are all unique and awesome. Though I think that a lot of that also has to do with their totally sweet powers!! Okay I'm just kidding it isn't just their powers. Hunter is cool with his different style and how he acts. Even Becca's friend Quinn has a cool personality. I'm pretty sure I'm going to continue the series and see if it gets better, also how the characters add to things.
