I Received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book has look so interesting to me for a while now. I just wanted to read it so much so when I was able to get a copy of it I was so happy to read it.
I really liked this book, it's kind of short but it has some mystery to it.
I liked the characters, I sometimes felt the characters where over the top but it was still pretty good.

It's a paranormal book which I liked because I'm trying to get away from dystopian. It was pretty good the only thing I didn't really like is this book leaves you with just TONS of questions. Like nothing really fits together all that well so you have to really wonder about everything and try to piece it together. I'm guessing the second book will probably help all the questions and make things better the only problem is this book just came out so it will be a while tell the next one does. *Sigh* never the less I liked this book and want to read the second one.

Sleepless (Bird of Stone #1) by Tracey Ward

Summary:
My name is Alex Mills and I have a superpower.

Don't be jealous, it sucks. I can't control it. My mind is a mutinous SOB that takes over when I go to sleep. I'm just a girl trying to get some shut eye while it decides to throw a rager that can land me just about anywhere in the world.

The base of the Eiffel Tower.
The shore on the coast of Ireland.
The third baseline at Wrigley Field.

Sounds exciting and fun right? Wrong. My not so superpower is unpredictable, uncontrollable and annoying as hell. It's also how I met Nick.

Every cloud has a silver lining. Nick is mine.

Nick is extraordinary as well. He can't feel fear. Never has, never will. It's worked out for him as a PJ in the Air Force, one of the most dangerous jobs in the military, but where it's not helpful is with his social skills. Nick is cold, distant and apathetic.

He's also my hero. And if he's to be believed, I'm his.

I first met him when he died and that wasn't even the weirdest moment of our relationship. Neither is this moment here and now, trapped together in an island prison on the Behring Sea. It's a long, strange story between his death and this prison. One full of sheep, docks, Jabberwocks and a very special stone. I could tell it to you if you'd like to hear it. I've got time...

Okay so when I first saw this book i was scrolling through books on my kindle and it was three bucks So hey why not? The idea of the whole book was pretty good. At first this book was confusing and made barely any sense at the beginning but knowing it was a paranormal romance, i kept reading. I am so happy I kept reading. It kept me on my toes the whole time. It wasn't a sappy romance like I thought it would end up being...It was action filled. The one part I did not enjoy is it is part of a series, second book isn't even out yet..sigh anyway. I LOVED this book! And can't wait for the second one!

Mind Games (Mind Games #1) by Kiersten White

Synopsis:
Fia was born with flawless instincts. Her first impulse, her gut feeling, is always exactly right. Her sister, Annie, is blind to the world around her—except when her mind is gripped by strange visions of the future.

Trapped in a school that uses girls with extraordinary powers as tools for corporate espionage, Annie and Fia are forced to choose over and over between using their abilities in twisted, unthinkable ways…or risking each other’s lives by refusing to obey.

In a stunning departure from her New York Times bestselling Paranormalcy trilogy, Kiersten White delivers a slick, edgy, heartstoppingly intense psychological thriller about two sisters determined to protect each other—no matter the cost.

My Rating

This book has a very short time span. By short I mean by just a few days, it isn't a bad thing though cause the book also carries many flash backs. The flash backs proved you with tons of information like character relationships or just who characters are. It helps to tell you what goes on. All and all the flash backs were really good and worked very well in the story.
I really liked the two main characters Fia and Annie. Since this book is done in both there views it makes it pretty interesting you get to know most of the characters , but instead of seeing them just one way you see them two ways you see them how Annie or Fia sees them.
I also liked the relationship between the two sisters thought it was very good.
This was a surprisingly good book, kind of short but good and I would really like to see where this story leads.

A free copy was received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The cover of this book is bland and looks pretty weird. The summery of the book seems boring to be honest. But I wanted to read this book anyways and im glad I did. It was really good. A lot better then I thought it would be.
I have read a lot of dystopian books this year but this one was really good. The setting was easy to grasp. The people and what they were like weren't bad. It didn't take a lot to explain things.
I liked how fast things took off, how it was interesting almost right away.
I liked in the end how it recaps a lot but it doesn't bore you with all the details. I mean we learn through the book how our characters would act in situations so it doesn't need to tell you a billion times. So it wasn't repetitive.

The characters were great and I really liked Penny and how she thought.
I wish we could have learned more about Penny's family, It's not really necessary but I don't know might have been interesting. Or learned more about James or the rest of the people on the island that would have been cool to.

I'm really hoping that there will be a second book to be honest cause I just feel like the is big potential for a second book. I feel like learning more about everything would be amazing. Plus some things were a little open ended. I say really good book especially when dystopian books were starting to get boring this one was not boring for me.

I got a free copy of this book for a honest review. At first I found this book kind of boring, It was confusing, to dramatic and the characters felt fake. There emotions were either really intense or not there at all. It went on that way threw about 75% of the book, not really very interesting to me. The last 25% of the book is what made me start liking this book though.
That's where it started to feel real, the characters were actually felt like they could be real people. There was action, the story was going some where. It was a little confusing but there was mystery towards the ending that made it more like something you wanted to read.
The ending saved this book from being a complete bore and it even made me want to read the next book. So if you read this book you probably just have to stick to it. OR you might feel differently then i do.

My Rating
-3/5-
First off im not usually into this kind of book. I read a book by Sarah Dessen before though so when I came across this book I figured why not? I may not be into these kinds of books much but I did really like it.
Sarah Dessen does a good job at turning something normal into something worth reading. Emaline doesn't exactly have big problems in fact they are pretty normal, but Sarah Dessen does a good job making you want to read.
I really loved the story and the characters. Kind of wish the characters were real, but since it is a real like book im sure there is people out there like the characters.

Also the ending was amazing. It was sort of happy but not like really an ending I was expecting. It was more of something that many teen girls would probably be able to relate to.
Anyways I thought it was a good book and will probably pick up another Sarah Dessen book in the future.

My Rating

I received a free copy of this for a read and review, and I felt it was a really good book.
Hunter, the main character, was very strong and I loved her personality.
The evil guy or villain is someone who even before you know who it truly is, is someone who is easy to dislike.
The love story is beautiful. I absolutely loved Eli and Hunter!!! They had a cute relationship.
I really liked how the story starts out too by following Hunter's mom Liz. It really gives a good back round story and helps things out a lot. It was really interesting too, cause I have never read another book so far were the author has done something like that.
I also enjoyed the ending of this book, it brought some big shocks too it and it was hard to believe some of it. Even some of the things that you knew were coming.

I have some ideas of what may happen in the next book but I'm hoping I'm totally wrong cause I would be sad if they came true. I have a feeling I won't be wrong in some cases though this book left lots of little hints.
Anyways this was a really good book I enjoyed it a lot and can't wait to get my hands on the second one.

A special Thanks to Isabella Modra for the copy!

Sarah Crossan's thrilling and provocative novel is about passion, about yearning for something better, and about breaking free for the very first time.
My Rating
-3/5-

A dystopian world were you can't breathe? What a really cool idea and also must have been a hard one Sarah Crossan had a good idea and see made it work.
There are three main Characters Bea, Quinn, and Alina, and the book switches between there perspectives. Which is really cool cause all three of them come from different back rounds. So you get an idea of how they are different. Though I kind of wish we got to see more into the life's of these characters before everything crazy started happening.

I don't think that there is much to say about this book to be honest it was a good idea, it worked. I enjoyed the characters, and what not but not much to say on it. I gave it 3 out of 5 stars, which is I liked it.

The Severed Tower (Conquered Earth #2) by J. Barton Mitchell

Synopsis:
Holt, Mira, and Max have fled Midnight City with Zoey after watching her repel an entire Assembly army. Zoey's powers are unlocked, but who and what she is remains a mystery. All she knows is that she must reach the Severed Tower, an infamous location in the middle of the world's most dangerous landscape: The Strange Lands, a place where the laws of physics have completely broken down. But the closer they get to the Tower, the more precarious things become. The Assembly has pursued Zoey into the Strange Lands. Among them is a new group, their walkers and machines strangely bereft of any color, stripped to bare metal, and whose agenda seems to differ from the rest. To make matters worse, the group hunting Holt are here, too, led by a dangerous and beautiful pirate named Ravan. So is Mira's first love, Benjamin Aubertine, whose singular ambition to reach the Tower threatens to get them all killed.

Then there's the Strange Lands themselves. They have inexplicably begun to grow, spreading outwards, becoming more powerful. Somehow, it all seems tied to Zoey herself, and the closer she gets to the Tower, the weaker she becomes.

My Rating
-5/5-
I won this book in a goodreads give a way. Yay me.
I have to say I enjoyed this book a lot more then I enjoyed the first book. I love how creative J. Barton Mitchell is and how he made this whole world and how cool it was.
I loved following the character Zoey, Holt and Mira they felt like a little family to me. I also really liked the new characters that were added.
It sadly took me a while to read this book because I was pretty busy but it is a really good book I certainly loved it from beginning to end.
Oh also another cool thing is we get to know about Mira and Holts past. Which is awesome. Just really loved that cause it was such a mystery.
If you have read the first book you should certainly read the second book. Really good and im usually not into books like this!

Now just one more year for the 3rd book Valley of Fires.

Relying on the skills she never wanted to learn—Dad might have had his reasons after all—Zoey is plunged into a lethal battle to rescue her father, protect her brother, and determine the identity of her family’s true enemy.
My Rating
-3/5-
I won a advance edition of this book on goodreads to read and review. This book's Expected Publication is November 13th 2013.
I enjoyed this book and thought it was really cool. Zoey's dad gets kidnapped and she tries to take care of her brother while saving him.
This book has a lot of flashbacks and back story which I liked. You got to know a lot about her family and life before hand. Which is good other wise the book would be so short. Its not like all the other books where trying to get who has been kidnapped takes  the whole book and they think everything threw and its all action like and intense. No Zoey is pretty normal and doesn't think like all smart about it. Actually some of the things that go threw her mind while she is trying to save her dad can be pretty funny.
I found this a good book and I'm glad I got the chance to read it. (Even though if I didn't get it in a give away I was gonna find it at my library when it came out cause it just sounded to good not to read.)
Oh I also wonder if there is going to be a second book and how that might possibly turn out. This one had a good ending but there are some possibility's  for a second book I think and that would be cool. If there isn't a second book all well cause this was still a neat book I enjoyed reading. :)

Allegiant (Divergent #3) by Veronica Roth

Synopsis:
One choice will define you.

What if your whole world was a lie?
What if a single revelation—like a single choice—changed everything?
What if love and loyalty made you do things you never expected?

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Told from a riveting dual perspective, Allegiant, by #1 New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth, brings the Divergent series to a powerful conclusion while revealing the secrets of the dystopian world that has captivated millions of readers in Divergent and Insurgent.

My Rating
-5/5-
I know a lot of people don't really like this book. I know there are reasons but i don't feel the same way about this book. I loved it really.
I felt like it was different from the other two books in the series because there was more feeling to it.
It's told from both Tris's and Tobias's views.
At times I hated the characters im going to be honest, but also at the same time I loved them and couldn't help but think I shouldn't be mad at them for that.
Also what I really liked about this book is it isn't really action packed like most books end up being as they reach the end of the trilogy. I don't know it gave it a realistic feel and I just loved it.
I know a lot of people don't like it and won't like it but hopefully you can get past all the things you don't like about it and all the things that make you sad or mad and look at everything else. The good parts of the book  that make you happy and glad your reading it.
It's just a beautiful book that I really love and think that Veronica Roth did a beautiful job on. I'm honestly sad to see the series come to an end but i'm glad it came to an end so beautifully.

Ten by Gretchen McNeil

Synopsis:
SHHHH!
Don't spread the word!
Three-day weekend. Party at White Rock House on Henry Island.
You do NOT want to miss it.

It was supposed to be the weekend of their lives—an exclusive house party on Henry Island. Best friends Meg and Minnie each have their reasons for being there (which involve T.J., the school’s most eligible bachelor) and look forward to three glorious days of boys, booze and fun-filled luxury.

But what they expect is definitely not what they get, and what starts out as fun turns dark and twisted after the discovery of a DVD with a sinister message: Vengeance is mine.

Suddenly people are dying, and with a storm raging, the teens are cut off from the outside world. No electricity, no phones, no internet, and a ferry that isn’t scheduled to return for two days. As the deaths become more violent and the teens turn on each other, can Meg find the killer before more people die? Or is the killer closer to her than she could ever imagine?

What got me to want to read this book was the 6 words on the bottom of the cover "Ten teens. Three days. One killer." Pretty awesome sounding right?
This book was short of what I expected at first it was because I couldn't keep any of the characters straight, it was only after they started dying that it I was able to figure out which one was who.
The middle was pretty good as you read and see its like putting a puzzle together in some ways.
Then another good part is some things were totally shocking, like 'WHOA DID NOT SEE THAT ONE' which helps make it a great book.
What I didn't like was the ending. It was boring for me. I won't say much about it don't want to give it away. Though I felt it could have been better is all.

UnSouled (Unwind Dystology #3) by Neal Shusterman

Synopsis:
The story that began with Unwind continues.

Connor and Lev are on the run after the destruction of the Graveyard, the last safe haven for AWOL Unwinds. But for the first time, they’re not just running away from something. This time, they’re running toward answers, in the form of a woman Proactive Citizenry has tried to erase from history itself. If they can find her, and learn why the shadowy figures behind unwinding are so afraid of her, they may discover the key to bringing down unwinding forever.

Cam, the rewound boy, is plotting to take down the organization that created him. Because he knows that if he can bring Proactive Citizenry to its knees, it will show Risa how he truly feels about her. And without Risa, Cam is having trouble remembering what it feels like to be human.

With the Juvenile Authority and vindictive parts pirates hunting them, the paths of Connor, Lev, Cam, and Risa will converge explosively—and everyone will be changed.

Another fantastic breath taking book for the series. Absolutely think these books so far just keep getting better with each book. This book starts right where the last one left off so if you ever read the series reading 2nd book and this book back to back would probably be a good way to go.
We have a few new characters but not really they tend to be more side characters but still great.
I really love the small things in this book that seem like nothing really important at first compared to everything else, but come out pretty important later on. I love how almost everyone ties together in one way or another. If you weren't paying attention you would miss a lot of it but if you pay attention you see how everyone is connected in a way.
In this book there almost seems to be more sides to the issue. Which makes it really interesting.
There is also some really major cliff hangers. I feel like the next book will likely take place where this one leaves off or not to far down the road. I also feel like the 4th book which should be the last book I believe is going to be a really fast paced action book.
Im sad I got into this series before all the books are out cause I'm just dying to know how it ends. But also I'm scared cause I love these books so much I know im going to be crushed when they end. :(
I Also can't wait for the last book to come out because once its out I can allow myself to buy the series. (I would like them all to have the same covers) Then once I have them all I'm probably going to re-read the books because I already want to.
Can't wait tell the last book comes out!!!!

UnWholly (Unwind Dystology #2) by Neal Shusterman

Synopsis:
It’s finally here. The long-awaited sequel to the bestselling Unwind, which Publishers Weekly called a “gripping, brilliantly imagined futuristic thriller.”

Thanks to Connor, Lev, and Risa—and their high-profile revolt at Happy Jack Harvest Camp—people can no longer turn a blind eye to unwinding. Ridding society of troublesome teens while simltaneously providing much-needed tissues for transplant might be convenient, but its morality has finally been brought into question. However, unwinding has become big business, and there are powerful political and corporate interests that want to see it not only continue, but also expand to the unwinding of prisoners and the impoverished.

Cam is a product of unwinding; made entirely out of the parts of other unwinds, he is a teen who does not technically exist. A futuristic Frankenstein, Cam struggles with a search for identity and meaning and wonders if a rewound being can have a soul. And when the actions of a sadistic bounty hunter cause Cam’s fate to become inextricably bound with the fates of Connor, Risa, and Lev, he’ll have to question humanity itself.

Rife with action and suspense, this riveting companion to the perennially popular Unwind challenges assumptions about where life begins and ends—and what it means to live.

Unwind is such a good book it is hard to believe that Unwholly is even better but to me it was. Neal Shusterman does a great job with characters. He has many different characters that you follow. The book is in third person but it jumps from one person to the next to the next and back. Just little sections that all add up and tell a story. In this book we get some pretty awesome new characters alone with the old ones, and Neal Shusterman does a really good job at making them all different, individual characters that are awesome to remember.
I really like the book also because Neal Shusterman puts in these Advertisement things, like stuff that's happening out in the real world and don't have a real immediate effect on the characters i guess you could say. You are honestly able to see a lot of sides to the story with the way the book is written which makes it so great. Great book, lived up to all I thought it was going to be and more.

Now the only reason I wrote this review is because I'm in the process of reading the third book. Now if you have read the first two right on, I hope you think they are as awesome as I think they are. If you haven't read these books read them soon and then once your done with Unwind and Unwholly go pick up the third.
