Afterparty by Ann Redisch Stampler

Synopsis:
Emma is tired of being good. Always the dutiful daughter to an overprotective father, she is the antithesis of her mother -- whose name her dad won't even say out loud. That's why meeting Siobhan is the best thing that ever happened to her...and the most dangerous. Because Siobhan is fun and alluring and experienced and lives on the edge. In other words, she's everything Emma is not.

And it may be more than Emma can handle.

Because as intoxicating as her secret life may be, when Emma begins to make her own decisions, Siobhan starts to unravel. It's more than just Dylan, the boy who comes between them. Their high-stakes pacts are spinning out of control. Elaborate lies become second nature. Loyalties and boundaries are blurred. And it all comes to a head at the infamous Afterparty, where debauchery rages and an intense, inescapable confrontation ends in a plummet from the rooftop...

My Rating
-1.5/5-

I won this book in a goodreads giveaway. At first I thought it would be amazingly good I mean it sounds like a really good book.
Unfortunately it wasn't that great. The writing wasn't very good. It kept you unattached and distracted. The words 'says' 'said' 'say' was used way to much, which isn't a big deal but it seriously was annoying. Also at times it was hard to really understand what was going on. Even if you payed really close attention, which was extremely hard with this book, things still where confusing most of the time.
The characters seemed to lack good emotions at the start. It is also really boring at the beginning and I would  see how some people wouldn't even want to finish the book or make it half way through for that matter.
It wasn't all bad though. Some of the book was really good if you could look past some of the bad things. I liked where the story went, I liked how Emma changed. There was a good amount of drama concerning her Siobhan and her and Dylan. Overall it wasn't horrible, it just wasn't great, it was okay-ish more or less.
I did not like this book but it was okay.
